Oxford Medical Teach the Teacher Course for Doctors (aka Train the Trainer)

Days training: 2 days

Group numbers: Small group training. 16 candidates maximum

Cost £599 (discounted to £499 when available)

Faculty: Expert faculty consisting of NHS Consultants and Educationalists (with Masters and PhD in education theory, course design and delivery)

CPED: 10 CME Points have been approved

You will receive a certificate of course completion for you portfolio and also a study leave receipt for you to obtain reimbursement from your institution if applicable.

Who is this course suitable for? ST, SpR, middle grade doctors and Consultants who wish to receive formal training on how to teach and train others using the latest educational techniques and theory.

Before the teach the teacher course for doctors each candidate will receive a learning styles questionnaire which will help to identify their individual learning style and will be used for other session orientated tasks. Attendees will have plenty of practice with small group and 1-2-1 teaching sessions with feedback to help improve their teaching skills. By the end of the course all attendees will have receive formal training in the planning, design, structure, delivery and validation of a teaching session using a variety of methods.
