Medical management is of growing importance to todays doctors and also tomorrows consultants. This has been recognised by each of the Royal Colleges with each advocating the relevence and importance of management training during the CCT training programme.
These medical management competencies are vitally important and must be demonstrated by each trainee (and also consultants) in order to satisfy assessments via the appraisal process of via the annual review of competence progression.
Recently both the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges and the NHS Institute for innovation and Improvement have devised a medical leadership Competency framework. Using this framework and the various competencies required for formal management training assessment Oxford Medical has written and currently delivers one of the best medical management courses in the United Kingdom.

How do you deliver your training? Will i be involved?
Recent evidence points to the fact that small group, user centered training methods deliver deep, long lasting learning with appropriate behaviour adaption compared to other methods. Our management courses are all small group with limited numbers to enable you to be involved from the start and to get the most of our your training.
We use a combination of lectures, tutorials, case discussions, creatinve thinking sessions, role play and small group exercises to deliver and reinforce the course material.
Will this course cover my management training competencies?
Yes. As the curriculum has been written taking guidance from the Medical Leadership and Competency Framework you will have recived the appropriate training to cover your management training competencies. You will receive a receipt for your course fee, a certificate of attendance and also a CPD certificate to verify the quality and duration of your training.
