How do i go about writing my doctors CV (curriculum vitae)?

Its been 3 years since a wrote my doctors CV and i have 2 weeks left before i need to apply for this job that i really want. Have you any tips for me?

Your medical cv is really the only document containing factual information that will be used to decide who gets short listed for that medical job. Doctors cv's are very different from any other career CV. Most business cv's are 1 or 2 pages long however in medicine it is common to see consultant medical cv's that contains 16 pages.
Don't be fooled and think that you can just write your CV in an evening and tag on those few courses and publications that you have onto your old CV. In todays medical recruitment market the bar is being raised. A very subjective scoring process is also used so that the required skills, attributes and knowledge for the advertised position are assessed.

Writing your medical CV in the correct manor and using a recognised approach is therefore vital and it also helps to know what the short lister might be looking for in his assessment.
